    About Central Texas Food Forests

    My Mission

to establish a beautiful edible ecosystem on your property.

By incorporating edible landscaping and adding systems that increase productivity, harmony and enjoyment. This does take planning, work and very specific insight to set up your ecosystem for long-term success.

Over time each system on its own becomes more efficient, stable and healthy. As each new mutually beneficial system is added your property becomes even more productive, resilient and enjoyable.

I have over the past 12 years developed my 2/3 of an acre residential property into a thriving food forest ecosystem. I can't wait to share my lessons, experience and insights with you and your family.

      About Central Texas Food Forests

      My Story

Some of my ideas and outlooks come from my grandparents, some are from researching ancient Roman villas. Some are from an old neighbor, who when I was a little kid told me “You can grow enough food for yourself, your neighbors, for the bugs, the birds and the squirrels” as he would hand me a full paper grocery bag of produce from his garden.

All of my ideas are informed from over 20 years of hard work, here in central Texas.

I have owned a house painting company, been a carpenter, a re-modeler, a handyman, a realtor, a landlord, an entrepreneur and a homeowner. I know residential real estate and contracting in central Texas. I have honed over a lifetime multiple residential resource management systems, including: small orchards, multiple gardening styles, composting, irrigation systems, tank ponds, chickens, and seasonal resource management.

I have always had an insatiable love and interest in the mechanical workings of the natural world and in the human experience.

I am incredibly excited to bring my wealth of acquired knowledge to you, your family and your neighborhoods. My goal is to empower and educate, about the incredible bounty of enjoyment, productivity and beauty hidden in every single residence.
